Jr
and Sr High Ministry
Bethesda Presbyterian Church
Goals & Vision
My vision for the youth ministry at BPC….
*a place where youth WANT to gather and give of their time
*a place where youth can learn about Jesus Christ and learn how to apply their
faith into their daily lives
*a place where youth can serve the community, both inside & outside the church
*a place of outreach, fun & fellowship, where teens want to bring their friends,
enjoy each other, etc.
*a place that integrates youth into the church as a whole, and helps them
eventually make the transition to young adulthood without losing interest in the
church
*Jr/Sr highs will study topics that will specifically relate to the issues they are
dealing with in their everyday lives: peer pressure, stress over academics, drugs
alcohol, friends, etc.
*They will learn Biblical stories that will help show them how they still can relate
to them today
*Jr/Sr highs will be involved in local outreach programs and projects to show
them how to give back and sow seeds of faith into others’ lives
*They will also be involved in national outreach programs which shows them
how they can make a difference in the world on a much larger scale
*Jr/Sr highs will continue to have outings which are “just for fun” and fellowship
which will help them to bond together and develop the Christian friendships with
one another which I believe are so important on so many different levels. These
“just for fun” meetings and outings will also help keep them engaged in the youth
program and help them not to lose interest.
*Every activity and goal listed above is to help build relationship with the jr/sr
highs and to help them build strong relationships with myself and the other
volunteers and leaders. I hope to help our youth connect with each other
and develop a safe atmosphere. Most importantly, though, is that throughout this
whole process they will learn to develop a stronger relationship with God.
Leadership Goals:
I am looking for volunteers who would be willing to help chaperone outings and trips or meet with us on Bible study nights to be able to follow our 2 adult rule. Anyone who would be willing to do this or is interested in working with this age group please let me know. I would love to hear from you. Thank you.
