Dear friends,

Grace, Mercy, and Peace to you from the Lord Jesus Christ!

That’s our greeting and our prayer to you today:

Grace: That you will know that love of God that is not determined by our actions- it is determined by his character.

Mercy: That you will know the God who does not treat us as our sins deserve.  With him there is forgiveness and new life.

Peace: That in every relationship you have: with God, with your neighbor, and with yourself- you will know the peace of God found only in Jesus Christ.

At Bethesda Presbyterian, we live by the grace, the mercy, and the peace of God.  And in gratitude for his gifts, we follow him, living lives that reflect his grace, his mercy, and his peace.

We invite you to worship with us.

Bethesda is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), but even more importantly we are a part of the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. Standing at the very center of our faith is the belief in the sovereignty of God, revealed to us through scripture as the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus as both one of the Trinity and the Son of God. We trust the person and the message of Jesus Christ to teach, inspire and lead us through his life of love, compassion, and commitment, and to usher us into healthy relationships with God and with each other. We seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to bind us into a loving family, to care for us when we are hurt, to correct us when we stray from the path of God’s choosing, and to lead us to the mission and ministry to which God calls us.

As a part of God’s calling, we pursue faithful, nurturing, vital ministries for folks of all ages. Our pre-schoolers and elementary kids enjoy a lively, interactive program that nurtures them to begin to know and experience God and the family of the church. As they grow older, our ministry seeks to address the challenging needs of our middle and high schoolers by meeting their issues from a faith-oriented perspective and by finding teachable moments when they occur, whether it is on a mission trip or a ski retreat. While young adults are staying home from church in huge numbers all over the country, our young adult ministry seeks to provide these folks with their own niche in the church and a ministry that addresses the pressures and the hectic schedules of their lives. Our ministry with our other adults occurs in many traditional, and some non-traditional, church settings of worship, fellowship, Bible study and service.

We also hear and heed God’s call to minister and to witness in the community and in the world. We do so in many ways: through Central American mission trips and youth mission trips, through our Prison ministry and our Child Development Center, just to name a few.

We are firmly grounded in, and guided by, our reformed tradition: By Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone, In Christ Alone, As Revealed in Scripture Alone, To God Alone be Glory,

Mission Statement

We celebrate the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ who is the head of the Church.  Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we are God's servants dedicated to the nurturing of all people in faith, service and fellowship; providing service to those in need; comforting the bereaved; ministering to the sick; offering solace to the troubled; and always seeking the lost.

We invite all believers in the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to share the communion loaf and cup of communion as a symbol or our unity and service to the Risen Lord.
